From The Rev. John Armentieres Croft’s cuttings.

The Rev. John Armentieres Croft had filled an album with cuttings about Gwinear between 1920 and 1970, including the final parade of Hayle Battalion Home Guard on Dec 3rd 1944, with Col. W.D. Croft. D.S.O. taking the salute.

My favourite cutting has Gwinear’s sporting vicar, The Rev. John Armentieres Croft upside down, coat tails flying,  as he tumbles from his horse at Four Burrows Point to Point at Tehidy in 1968.

We hope to have an Autumn 2018 exhibition in Gwinear Church about Parish life past and present befor we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the end of The Great War.

I would be delighted to receive contributions.
